Norm's magnetic personality

I finnaalllllyyyy figured out a way to do Norm magnets. I won't bore you with all the boring details (like I usually do), let's just say it wasn't easy to do something that looked easy.

Now they're here, and you can buy them here.

Norm's in a book!

Check it out (page 9 if you scavenger hunt your way through the preview pages on Blurb)

It is published by Trunkt! and will be sold on-line and in coffee shops & independent bookstores in NY.

Woo-hoo!

Ok, I will take pity on you - here is the link directly to the preview of the book - but you are going to have to scroll down to page 9 by yourself.

So last I left you with my basement woes...

I think it looked something like photo A - the shine in the picture is about 1" of water. We estimated that ~500 gallons of water poured in through the weak concrete floor (it rained so hard in Seattle that the ground water rose). The vibration of the washing machine wore a hole right through the cement into the dirt layer below. It was gross to say the least.

Check out what it looks like now - 2+ tons of cement later (ok, that includes hauling old cement out of the basement by the bucket and carrying 60 lb. bags into the basement). My new floor. It's so pretty, I don't want to cover it up with the rubber mats I had down before. :)

Oh, and there are drains, french drains and a sump pump. Bring on the rain!

Norm at the PSIA

** please note: if you are a regular reader of this blog, this is a "sticky post" and will remain at the top until 5/10/08 - newer posts will appear below.**

I will be at a show in Edmonds (just north of Seattle) on May 10th. This is going to be a great show. We put together swag bags for the first 50 people through the door. There will be hourly drawings for wonderful things. And best of all, there will be at least 25 sellers from Puget Sound Indie Arts selling their wonderful handmade creations!

This just in...

Ok, not quite "just in" - I'm a little slow in keeping up these days - it has something to do with volunteering at an elementary school... but I digress. Kayce at World of Whimm has linked to all the vendors' websites for the upcoming PSIA show in Edmonds (May 10th) - check it out for a sneak peak of what is going to be up for sale: click here
